These three workshops are planned as a series, but can be taken individually and suitable for beginners to advanced to teachers – with ample time to answer queries so you can add depth to aid your understanding.
Workshop 1: Fly Through your Practice with Super Shoulders 30th April at 11:30am to 2:00pm Strong, stable shoulders are a must for every yoga practitioner. Discover how a few simple asana can revolutionise your shoulder function helping you to improve your sun salutations, deepen your backbends, jump through with vinyqssa links plus help you work towards deeper inversions. This workshop guarantees to help you find the strength and flexibility that you want.
Workshop 2: Opening of the heart with Better Backbends NEW DATE 17th September at 10:00am to 12:30pm Imagine that you had a backbend that felt amazing; where your spine lengthens, your chest opens and the lower back feels supported. If you want to free your spine and backbend with more confidence this is the workshop for you. We will start with simple backbends and progress through a range of asana that prepare you for amazing openings
Workshop 3: Happier Hips for a Happier Practice 15th October at 10:00am to 12:30pm Learn to love your hips. Whether you are doing standing or seated postures, forward or back bends, your hips are the key. Come and learn some new techniques guaranteed to increase the strength and mobility of your hips.
About Charlie Charlie Taylor-Rugman has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 1993. He studied with Shri Pattabhi Jois for 10 years before receiving the yoga masters direct authorisation to teach in 2001. Charlie has been teaching full time since then plus gained is M.A in Indian studies -making Charlie's teaching very full and knowledgable.

Join us at Clarity Yoga Shala and enjoy a morning of peace, tranquility and rest over the summer holidays.
We’re dedicating two mornings during the school holidays to provide the time and space for you to reset you mind, and energy so you can be focused and present to enjoy this extensive break with joy and laughter.
During the two hours morning sessions, you’ll dampen down any stresses with breathing techniques, clear your mind through learning to focus and share your experience with others through discussions – all to help you to enjoy a fresh outlook of the days ahead. Then sit and share a light lunch with like minded people which means you don’t even need to cook for yourself. What a treat!!!

There really is a great flow, a physical challenge and intense focus of the mind so the spirit can feel light and free. This level of flow is often omitted from many classes due to time restraints and time spent learning to build technique. So, once in a while it’s good to break the routine and explore what more there is.

The number 108 has many deep,important, symbolic, religious and spiritual meanings in diverse disciplines. 108 has long been considered a very special and sacred number in yoga.
When we combine the power of this sacred number with sun salutations, we connect with something very potent for a powerful yogic practice.
Join in and do 1 or do 27 or do 108 .... just do your best. Just being in the space of focus, breath and movement creates a profound deep sense of inner peace. Some people transcend the limitations of their mind, body and soul whilst others offer the practice to the higher self within with total surrender and devotion (Bhakti).
Whether a personal challenge, a practice or just being in the vibe we always end with a wonderful guided meditation so most people leave feeling cleansed at the deepest core from the heat, strong desire and willpower (Tapas) as space & energy is created in the mind and body.
